Meet the Owner
Steve Martin built Charisma Construction on the values of honesty, transparency, and dedication. While Charisma calls Colorado home, Steve’s story starts in Alabama. That’s where he learned what it means to work hard, do things right, and take pride in the details.
As a young man, Steve earned the rank of Eagle Scout, an experience that shaped his belief that character matters just as much as craftsmanship. That mindset carried into his early hands-on experience, where he began learning his way around power tools while building theater sets in high school and college.
Then Steve moved to Mississippi, where he worked as a youth minister. When Hurricane Katrina hit, Steve’s home flooded. Instead of stepping back, he stepped in to help his community. He volunteered to help rebuild homes and lives by working alongside families and using his skills to give them a fresh start. After months of volunteer work, Steve started his first licensed and insured construction company in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area.
Steve then moved back to Alabama, where he continued to serve his community as a police officer, eventually working his way up to corporal and attending field school to train police officers. He continued to do contracting in his spare time.
Throughout all of those experiences, showing up, doing the right thing, and being accountable became second nature. Those same principles now guide every project Charisma takes on.
After 7 years, Steve officially turned in his badge, moved to Colorado, and decided to put on the tool belt full-time.
He founded Charisma Construction with a clear mission: to raise the standard of what people should expect from a contractor. Clear and upfront communication, expert craftsmanship, and respect for every property and home we’re in.
Today, Steve leads his team with the same “do right by people” mindset he has carried his entire life. He stays involved, keeps a positive attitude, and expects the same level of care from every member of his team.
His dedication to doing things the right way has made Steve a trusted name in Loveland and across Northern Colorado.
